Required Skills: A minimum 10 years’ experience in the offshore survey industry or related disciplines is preferred. •A degree or equivalent in electrical engineering and or IT. •Preferably to show and indicate personal development in respect of training and courses undertaken to further the individual in electronics, IT, management etc. •Excellent communication & organisational skills, eye for detail, QC etc. •Proactive / common sense approach to projects and problem solving. •Hold (or ability to obtain) current medical & survival certification. •Competent with the MS Office suite – Word, Excel, Powerpoint & Project. •Previous use of an asset management system would be desirable, but training/ familiarisation can be provided.

Duties: Managing and supporting the clients survey and subsea department (and certain operations department) survey equipment – computers, IT, DGPS, radios / communications systems, printers, plotters, cabling etc. Also responsible for maintaining inhouse management system / software and handling dispatch / receipt of equipment in support of project operations. 1.To manage and support all survey & subsea department survey equipment and computer systems. 2.To look after and maintain > £0.5M worth of equipment, based at the Cambridge office. 3.To provide survey & subsea equipment technical support to project teams (onshore and offshore). 4.To liaise with the Procurement department. 5.To manage the dispatch and receipt of Survey & Subsea department equipment. 6.To support, coordinate and play an active role in project mobilisations and demobilisations. 7.To work with other client divisions in survey & subsea equipment / computer systems support. 8.To be the custodian of all survey & subsea department equipment / computer systems.

Required Skills: The ideal candidate will be an oceanographer who has some survey experience focus on tidal elements of oceanography. Knowledge and experience of ADCP deployment, data retrieval and analysis is considered essential. The applicant should have some knowledge of CFD modelling. Duties: Duties will include but not be limited to: •Site identification from published data, site visits, contacts and other sources, •Specifying, commissioning and overseeing geophysical, geotechnical and tidal velocity (ADCP) measurement survey work on existing and potential sites in UK and Canada. •Geothechical and ADCP survey data validation and analysis, using spreadsheets, Matlab and GIS. •Tidal resource modelling to predict tidal currents from both published and survey data. •Development and maintenance of a GIS database of site information. •In addition to the above, the role will also be responsible for analysing and reporting on the performance data generated by turbines already in situ. •Specifying, supervising and interpreting subcontractor hydrodynamic modelling services for site energy distribution and array layout. •Woking with the financial and engineering functions to develop a comprehensive financial model for new and existing projects. Computer Skills •Advanced experience of Microsoft Office tools, primarily good knowledge of Excel and macro programming. •Knowledge of MATLAB and ArcGIS would be useful but not essential, training can be provided. •Ability to learn and enhance MCT developed prediction models wriietn in Matlab and Excel.

Duties: Our client is recognised as being one of the leading tidal energy technology developers. This role is to support the client in the identification and analysis of possible future sites for individual turbines and tidal turbine arrays. The role includes the specification of marine geophysical and geotechnical survey requirements, acting as the client representative during survey activities, post processing and manipulation of survey data in GIS, spreadsheets and Matlab. The individual will be responsible for the validation of the tidal resource at the proposed development, the outputs of which will be used to justify the financial requirements for the development of the array. The ability to interpret tidal measurement and predict tidal turbine energy capture and thus electrical delivery to the grid is key to the success of the role. In addition, the ability to interface and manage third party contractors preparing hydrodynamic models based on survey results and planning array layouts is critical. The successful application will work within the site development team reporting to the Business Development Director
