Bob McLeod - Ocean-Tec Systems

I started work in the offshore market in 1998, with Racal Survey initially in their operations department and had the pleasure of working with Richard while he was at Racal.  GOSS Consultants was later born and Richard still continued to do special projects for us down in Plymouth.  During all the time I have known Richard he has been supportive, and when I left Fugro as a Project Manager in 2006 I worked exclusively through GOSS Consultants, I never had the need to look elsewhere for work.

The personnel that GOSS have available fulfill the one major need which cannot be determined from a CV, competancy. As a result of this I have always been happy to use GOSS as a source of survey personnel at the companies I have worked, which include CTC Marine Projects, OceanTeam, MSS and VSMC.

As others have said their support is exceptional, their travel arrangements are flawless (no trips the wrong way round the world to save 50p), payment of invoices are like clockwork, and you’re not dropped in it as they are not great believers in ‘bums on seats’. If they have no-one suitable they have no-one, and they do not attempt to fob someone else off as an expert in something they are not (maybe this is why Richard still has to work!). As a result GOSS seem to have a level of loyalty from their offshore personnel that is hard to find within some of the survey companies, let alone agents.  

Having seen the company from the positions of both Client and Contractor, I am more than happy to recommend GOSS both as a personnel supplier, and as an agent.
